Preston was born and raised in Darlington County, allowing him to fish and explore the Lynches, Wateree, and Santee river systems growing up. Preston notes that he was fortunate to be able to have an upbringing that allowed him access to and develop a love for our local waterways. Preston is a graduate of Coastal Carolina with an MS in Coastal Marine and Wetland Studies (BS Marine Science. His interests are protecting, conserving, and advocating for measures to ensure healthy, fresh, and saltwater systems.
