WKC jobs: marketing specialist intern

WKC is a science-based, environmental advocacy group representing Waterkeeper Alliance licensed programs in North Carolina. WKC’s charitable purpose is to protect and improve the environmental integrity of North Carolina’s waterways, to safeguard drinking water supplies for our state's residents, and to sustain recreational water resources that Carolinians hold dear.
We are hiring a marketing specialist intern to join our team. If you're a passionate self-starter and water-quality advocate looking for flexible hours and a fun working environment, Waterkeepers Carolina is the perfect place for you. This position is flexible and averages 8 hrs. /week.
Responsibilities
Assist with the design and execution of social media campaigns.
Create weekly and monthly editorial calendars to promote WKC campaigns on various social media websites.
Create and distribute content such as blogs, infographics, videos and press releases on WKC website and social media.
Track social media engagement to identify high-performing ideas and campaigns for scalability.
Support drafting and editing of creative and technical content across different mediums.
Desired Qualifications
Current student at an accredited university, college and community college in North Carolina.
Interest in analytical skills and data analysis.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Skilled in writing and editing content with an attention to detail.
Interest in graphic design.
Strong prioritization, organization, and project management skills.
Experience with major social media platforms including Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, Twitter.
Knowledge of social media analytics software including Facebook Insights, Google Analytics and Twitter Analytics to track audience engagement and campaign performance.
Location: Remote
Starting Pay: $18 per hour
Duration: May 15- Dec. 31, 2022. Preferred commitment through the end of 2022, but flexible with internship duration.
